Code of conduct

We wish that Techsylvania is a safe and enjoyable place for all. For this to happen, a code of conduct must be respected by all delegates, speakers, sponsors and volunteers. Participants who violate these rules can expect to be sanctioned by the event staff up to and including being expelled from the conference without any claim to a refund of the ticket price.

We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks and workshops. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If you find yourself in this situation, or notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. The Techsylvania team is at your disposal and ready to help you at any time. We value your attendance and hope you feel safe.

We expect participants to follow these rules at our events and related social events.

Substitutions must be made in writing via email to [email protected] and received at least 7 days before the first day of the event. After that date, substitutions will no longer be accepted.

Photography and recording

The Event is held in a public space, therefore we do not prohibit participants, exhibitors, partners and other companies from photographing conference activities and participants. By participating in the Event, you acknowledge that your talks, interventions and presence may be recorded, and pictures be taken. You hereby waive any right to oppose, and expressly authorize, the Organizer to record the Event activities and make them available on the Internet or as it may see fit.

Email

When you register for an event, we communicate important logistical information to your address (normally 2-3 messages per event). We also send a couple of emails a year to past attendees to signal them the launch of new conferences. We will never communicate your email address to a third party, but could invite you to special events (meetups, workshops) on behalf of one of the partners of the conference. You can ask us to remove your email from all communications by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject REMOVE.
